Mich., (March 5, 2009) – Great
Lakes Motocross (GLMX) officials announced the fourth and final OEM
contingency sponsor today for the 2009 Great Lakes Michigan Mafia
Championship Series – a 17-week spring/summer
race schedule held at the Great Lakes region's premier motocross
facilities.
Yamaha
Motor Corp., whose long-standing heritage in building some of the
world's premier competition motocross bikes, has stepped up and
delivered cash contingency prizes totaling nearly $62,000 for its YZ-mounted
pilots contesting events held at Michigan's top MX tracks –
Michigan Mafia style!
'With
Yamaha on board the Great Lakes Michigan Mafia Championship Series'
total contingency cash prize payout stands at nearly a quarter
million dollars!," said GLMX's Amy Ritchie. "Yamaha's
commitment to the sport of motocross is not only evident at the top,
backing outdoor national and supercross champion James Stewart, the
company's generosity also shines though at the amateur level more
than ever.

"The Battlegrounds," the Great Lakes Michigan Mafia
Championship Series will showcase a wide range of classes for the
Yamaha YZ-model competition dirt bikes. Yamaha contingency classes
include: 125 B & C, 25+, 250 A, B & C, 30, 35+, 40+, 45+, 50
+ and 60+, 85 (9-13), 85 JR (7-11), 85 SR (12-15), Open A, B &
C, Schoolboy 2 & 4 Stock, Super Mini, Women's JR & SR.

Suzuki Steps Up BIG With Great Lakes Michigan Mafia
Series, Puts Up $73,850 In Cash Contingency!
Suzuki-mounted racers stand the chance of raking in some big-time
cash when the gate drops on the 2009 Great Lakes Michigan Mafia
Championship Series
BUCHANAN, Mich., (Feb. 17, 2009) –
Great Lakes Motocross (GLMX) officials are pleased to announce that
Suzuki – makers of the RM line of competition motocross bikes –
has posted an industry-high $73,850 in cash contingency prizes for
Suzuki-mounted racers contesting the Great Lakes Michigan Mafia
Championship Series – a 17-week spring/summer race schedule held
at the Great Lakes region’s premier motocross facilities.
“Suzuki enjoys a long, generous history of supporting its amateur
and pro motocross racers and this generosity will certainly be
evident in the Great Lakes Michigan Mafia Championship Series tour
this June,” said GLMX’s Amy Ritchie. “Nearly 74,000 dollars
shows Suzuki’s commitment not only to their riders, but in also
insuring the success of the inaugural year of GLMX racing. The
promoters of the Great Lakes Michigan Mafia Championship Series tip

board for nearly $40,000 in cash contingency prizes for its
CR-mounted "Red Riders"
who contest this year's Great Lakes Michigan Mafia Championship
Series – a 17-week spring/summer
race schedule held at the Great Lakes region's premier motocross
facilities.
Honda's
generosity with the racers loyal to its brand will be very evident
on the "Great Lakes Michigan Mafia Championship Series
tour," said GLMX's Amy Ritchie. "We have a lot of racers
on Hondas registered at our events – so the competition's going to
be fierce for those coveted Honda contingency dollars. Fortunately
for the Red Riders they've come up with almost $40,000, which will
be spread out over numerous classes so most every Honda rider has a
shot at some contingency dollars."

motocross bikes, is on board for $62,700 in cash contingency money
for Kawasaki racers contesting the 2009 Great Lakes Michigan Mafia
championship Series – a 17-week spring/summer
race schedule held at the Great Lakes region’s premier motocross
facilities.
"Kawasaki's
contingency program has been a longtime staple with Midwest
motocross racers and we’re pleased to see them back supporting the
strong contingent of racers loyal to the green KX machines on the
Great Lakes Michigan Mafia Championship Series," said GLMX's

Kawasaki bikes – from 7-9 65cc class racing all the way up to
50-plus and two premier A classes (250 A and Open A). Class wins on

pay anywhere from $150 in the
lower level classes, all the way up to $300 in the A classes - and
pay cash all the way down to 5th place in each class!
